Sergey Vissarionov's Visit: New Horizons for Cooperation between Belarusian State Medical University and Turner National Medical Research Center

On February 20, Belarusian State Medical University was visited by Professor Sergei Vissarionov, Director of Turner National Medical Research Center for Pediatric Traumatology and Orthopedics of the Russian Ministry of Health, leading scientist and researcher, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, laureate of the Russian Government Prize, Doctor of Medical Sciences.

The university was represented by: Sergey Rubnikovich, Rector of Belarusian State Medical University, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, Doctor of Medical Sciences and Professor; Dmitry Chuikov, Vice-Rector for International Relations; Professor Mikhail Gerasimenko, Head of the Department of Traumatology and Orthopedics of Belarusian State Medical University, Director of the Republican Scientific and Practical Center for Traumatology and Orthopedics, laureate of the Union State Prize in Science and Technology, Doctor of Medical Sciences. During the visit, the guest got acquainted with the experience and capabilities of Belarusian State Medical University in the areas of education, science, and medicine. The parties discussed areas of cooperation and signed an Agreement on Academic and Scientific Cooperation and Exchange with Turner National Medical Research Center.

This visit opens new prospects for joint research and exchange of experience in the field of pediatric traumatology and orthopedics, which will improve the quality of medical care for children in Belarus and Russia.
