BSMU and PRMU Strengthen Cooperation: Digital Medicine and Exchange of Experience

Belarusian State Medical University welcomed Tamara Bardinskaya, Head of the International Affairs Department of Privolzhsky Research Medical University (Nizhny Novgorod, Russia), on a working visit.

The BSMU side was represented by Yuri Sokolov, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor; Dmitry Chuikov, Vice-Rector for International Relations; Natalya Mironchik, Head of the Republican Center for Professional Certification and Simulation Training of Medical and Pharmaceutical Personnel; and Vasili Roudenok, Professor of the Department of Normal Anatomy, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor.

During the meeting, the parties discussed a wide range of issues related to bilateral cooperation. The key topic of the negotiations was the development of cooperation in the field of digital medicine, one of the priority areas of modern healthcare. Special attention was paid to the upcoming 105th anniversary of Belarusian State Medical University, including the participation of a delegation from Privolzhsky Research Medical University in the anniversary celebrations. The participants also reviewed the results of the summer clinical training completed by BSMU and PRMU students. This year, in addition to the traditional participation of students from the General Medicine and Dentistry Faculties, students of the Faculty of Pediatrics joined the programme for the first time. All participants highly appreciated the excellent organization of the training and its practice-oriented approach.

The parties also reached an agreement on the professional training of three BSMU academic staff members at PRMU to enhance their qualifications in the field of digital technologies in medicine.

Cooperation between the two universities continues to develop actively, opening up new opportunities for students and academic staff.
