BSMU–MILEMIR CRICKET CUP-2026: Sport Uniting Students from Around the World

On April 17–18, 2026, the BSMU–MILEMIR CRICKET CUP-2026 tournament, which has already become a good tradition, took place at the stadium of Belarusian State Medical University. The event was organized by the country's leading medical university in collaboration with Milemir, a company actively developing international student cooperation.

This year, the tournament has a special significance, bringing together teams from several medical universities in Belarus. Three teams from Belarusian State Medical University went to the field, along with the teams from Gomel State Medical University, Vitebsk State Order of Peoples' Friendship Medical University, and Grodno State Medical University. The strongest students, passionate about cricket and representing their respective universities, competed for the main trophy. The competition demonstrated the teams' high level of preparation, sports passion, and true team unity.

The tournament became not only a vibrant sporting event, but also an important platform for intercultural communication. Honorary guests came to support the participants: Dmitry Chuikov, Vice-Rector for International Relations of Belarusian State Medical University; Rajesh Kumar, First Secretary of the Embassy of the Republic of India in the Republic of Belarus; Sandeep Kumar, Attaché of the Embassy of India; Sah Rama Shankar, Deputy Chairman of the International Association of University Alumni and Director of Milemir; and Alla Maevskaya, Director of the Public association "International Association of University Graduates".

In their speeches, the guests emphasized the importance of such initiatives:

The games were tense and spectacular: brilliant serves, strategic moves, and powerful fan support created a true sporting atmosphere in the stadium.

The team “Minsk Elite Eagles” of BSMU won the tournament, demonstrating a high level of skill and coordinated team play.
