Belarusian State Medical University and Bukhara State Medical Institute named after Abu Ali ibn Sino Hold an Online Meeting on Cooperation

On 15 September, an important online meeting was held between Belarusian State Medical University and Bukhara State Medical Institute named after Abu Ali ibn Sino.

BSMU’s side was represented by Yuri Sokolov, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor; Dmitry Chuikov, Vice-Rector for International Relations; and Vasili Roudenok, Professor of the Department of Normal Anatomy, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor.

Bukhara State Medical Institute named after Abu Ali ibn Sino was represented by Shukhrat Teshaev, Rector of the Institute, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor; Malik Amonov, Vice-rector for scientific affairs and innovations; Shermukhammadkhoja Tursunov, Vice-Rector for Medical Affairs, Candidate of Medical Sciences; Laziz Niyazov, Vice-Rector for International Affairs; and Olima Vokhidova, Head of the Department of International Cooperation.

The parties discussed prospects for cooperation in the fields of science, medicine, and higher education. Particular attention was paid to the development of academic mobility for students and academic staff, the implementation of joint educational programmes, as well as advanced training and retraining of specialists.

The participants also considered issues related to the regulatory and legal framework for joint programmes and discussed the possibility of organizing joint scientific events, including conferences, congresses, and meetings of student scientific societies.

Following the meeting, the parties reached an agreement to further develop cooperation. They emphasized the friendly relations between Belarus and Uzbekistan and expressed confidence in productive future collaboration.
