Belarusian State Medical University and National Medical Research Center of Endocrinology of the Ministry of Health of Russia have become business partners

Within the framework of the Republican scientific and Practical conference with international participation "Topical issues of diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the endocrine system", dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the Endocrinological Service of Belarus, a cooperation agreement was signed between the educational institution "Belarusian State Medical University" and Federal State Budgetary Institution "National Medical Research Center of Endocrinology" of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation. The document was signed by the Director of the National Research Institute of Endocrinology, corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Natalia Mokrysheva and Rector of Belarusian State Medical University, corresponding member of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Sergey Rubnikovich.

The purpose of the agreement is to establish business contacts to facilitate the exchange of information, knowledge and experience relevant to the parties in the fields of diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation and prevention of diseases, in the field of training highly qualified medical personnel, etc. The partners agreed to cooperate in such scientific and educational areas as joint scientific research in areas of mutual interest, the introduction of the results of joint scientific research into clinical practice and the educational process, joint publication activities, the organization of scientific conferences, symposiums and scientific seminars, the development and implementation of professional development and training programs for highly qualified specialists on the terms of mutual agreement personnel, conducting master classes and internships, as well as medical activities on the profiles of interest to both sides.

NMIC of Endocrinology of the Ministry of Health of Russia has an almost 100-year history. In 1923, on the initiative of the founder of Russian endocrinology, Professor Vasily Shervinsky, the Institute of Organ Preparations and Organotherapy was established, which in February 1925 was reorganized into the State Institute of Experimental Endocrinology of the People's Commissariat of Health of the RSFSR.

Currently, NMIC of Endocrinology is the only institution in Russia and in the world with a unique research complex and clinical infrastructure that allows you to carry out priority research projects and provide medical care to patients with almost all endocrine diseases, including the rarest.

NMIC of Endocrinology unites six research institutes: Institute of Diabetes, Institute of Clinical Endocrinology, Institute of Pediatric Endocrinology, Institute of Reproductive Medicine, Institute of Personalized Medicine, Institute of Oncoendocrinology and Institute of Higher and Additional Professional Education.

"Currently, the center is conducting advanced scientific and clinical research that can, with the maximum concentration of organizational, personnel and material and financial resources, in the coming years, provide a technological breakthrough in Russia in the field of personalized medicine, in the treatment of endocrinopathies, oncoendocrinology, diseases of the cardiovascular system. Special attention is focused on unique developments in genomic and postgenomic technologies, genetic engineering research aimed at the discovery of new genes, the creation of biochips, signaling molecules, hormones, the introduction of innovative methods for the diagnosis and treatment of orphan diseases," said Natalia Mokrysheva, MD, Professor.
