Educational work
Planning and organization of the educational process is carried out in accordance with the requirements of the educational standard of specialty 1-79 01 08 “Pharmacy”, working and standard educational programs.
The Department trains full-time students of the Pharmaceutical Faculty and The Medical Faculty of International Students. Foreign students are training with Russian and English.
The training for foreign students is conducted in the following disciplines:
- Pharmacy Technology of Drugs
- Industrial Technology of Drugs
- Pharmaceutical Biotechnology
- Pharmaceutical Development with the Fundamentals of Biopharmaceutics
- Management and Economics of Pharmaceutical Enterprises
- Aromatherapy Products
In addition, the Department has developed and implemented a course of choice “Pharmaceutical Cosmetology” for students of the Pharmaceutical Faculty.
Classes in all disciplines are held in rooms specially equipped for practical and laboratory classes with multimedia equipment.
Training is conducted in the form of lectures and laboratory classes, with the use of elements of independent controlled work of students. Traditional (guidelines, visual information, diagrams, collections of tests and situational tasks) and modern educational and information resources (presentations of lectures in multimedia accompaniment in PowerPoint format, computer tests, videos, animation videos, interactive resources on the Internet) are used.
Knowledge control is carried out in oral and written form, solving situational problems and computer testing. The final assessment is based on a cumulative system that includes the student's average academic performance, the results of passing colloquiums and exams, taking into account their research activity at the Department.
Practical and theoretical knowledge is improved by “Pharmacy technological Practic” (in pharmacies of Belarus) and 'Industrial Technological Practice' (on the pharmaceutical enterprises of Belarus).
In the 5th year, the final control of students' knowledge is carried out in the form of a state exam. The best student research projects are completed with the defense of the diploma work.
Methodical work
The methodological work is aimed to improve the efficiency of the educational process and the pedagogical skills of the teaching staff of the Department.
Training programs have been developed for all subjects and industrial practices, electronic educational and methodological complexes have been created, which are constantly updated. Work is underway to create an electronic educational and methodological library and educational video library.
To improve the quality of lectures and practical classes conduction, mutual visits to classes are practiced, followed by discussion at the Department sessions.
Teachers of the Department take advanced training courses in accordance with the plan, take part in scientific and methodological conferences and seminars, in sessions of the Council of the Pharmaceutical Faculty, The Methodological Commission of Pharmaceutical disciplines and the Scientific and Methodological Commission.
Teachers of the Department are members of the subject commissions for final state exams on the subject “Pharmacy and Industrial Technology of Drugs”.
