Research Work of Oncology

Subjects of the Department:

Diagnosis and treatment of tumors of breast, abdominal and pelvic organs

The main directions of the scientific activity of the Department are:

  1. Epidemiology, diagnosis, treatment and prevention of pre-tumor and tumor lesions of the hepatopancreatodenoduedal zone.
  2. Epidemiology, diagnosis, treatment and prognosis of stomach and gastroesophageal cancer.
  3. Development and implementation of the additional criteria for the risk of non-small cell lung cancer, the course and prognosis of the disease based on the molecular genetic characteristics of patients.
  4. Development of personalized treatments for locally-advanced uterine carcinoma and disseminate colorectal cancer.
  5. Development and implementation of the method of metronome supporting chemotherapy in patients with disseminate colorectal cancer.
  6. Immunotherapy based on autologous dendritic cells in patients with epithelial tumors (pancreatic cancer, colorectal cancer, tumors of the urogenital zone, breast cancer).
  7. Development of methods to identify circulating tumor cells and cancer stem cells to assess the effectiveness of complex treatment of tumors of different localization

The research was carried out within the framework of scientific and technical projects in cooperation with the Institute of Biophysics and Cell Engineering of NAS RB, the Institute of Genetics of NAS RB, Republican Scientific and Practical Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology, Republican Scientific and Practical Center for Oncology and Medical Radiology named after N.N.
