The planning and organization of the educational process at the department is carried out in accordance with the Educational standards of higher education of the first stage, standard curricula and curricula of academic disciplines in the following specialties:

- 7-07-0912-01 Pharmacy
The educational process is organized in the following forms:
- lectures;
- practical (laboratory) classes;
- guided independent work;
- industrial practice;
- research work of students.
The main directions of educational and methodological work at the department:
- ensuring conditions for compliance with the requirements of the educational standards;
- development of educational and program documentation (standard and working curricula);
- determination of contents and forms of educational activity at different stages of training of specialists and their certification;
- preparation of educational and methodological literature (training manuals, laboratory workbooks, educational worksheets) in Russian and English;
- creation of electronic educational and methodical complexes of disciplines on the basis of advanced pedagogical technologies and corresponding educational base for self-studying and distance learning
- methodological provision of the educational process with visual and didactic materials (posters, visual aids, microscopic preparations for demonstration, case studies, tests, educational presentations);
- optimization of the rating system for assessing students' knowledge;
- introduction of innovative forms and interactive teaching methods into the educational process;
- exchange of experience, attendance of practical classes and lectures by the teaching staff of the department;
- development of the educational process with foreign students in English;
- guidance of students' research work;
- improving the subject matter and content of elective courses.
