Natalia A. Trushel
Graduated from the Minsk State Medical Institute in 1997, defended PhD thesis in 2000 (“Development and structure of the thyroid gland in humans and white rats”). Received an academic title of associate professor in theoretical and experimental medicine in 2008. Head of the department since 2014. Defended doctoral thesis “Regularities of the structure of the cerebral arterial circle and the morphological prerequisites for the development of cerebral blood supply disorders” in 2015, received doctoral degree.
Chairman of the Belarusian Scientific Society of Morphologists. Member of IFAA (International Federation of Associations of Anatomists).
Author of more than 200 scientific and educational works, 2 inventions (patents), 1 monogram (“Role of morphological and hemodynamic factors in atherogenesis of vessels of the circle of Willis”, 2013).
Student research supervisor, actively participates in international scientific conferences. Member of the Board of the Pediatric Faculty, editorial board of 'Consilium of young scientists of the Belarusian State Medical University' and 'Journal of functional anatomy, sports morphology, integrative anthropology and medical and social rehabilitation of B. A. Nikituk.” scientific journals.
Awarded with a certificate of honor of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus.
Research interests: structure and variant anatomy of cerebral vessels, features of hemodynamics in cerebral vessels.
Deputy head of the department for educational and methodological work
Hanna A. Pasiuk
Graduated from the Minsk State Medical Institute in 1997. Works at the department of normal anatomy since 2001 (senior lecturer since 2010, associate professor since 2017).
Defended her pHD thesis on 'Anatomical, topographic and morphometric characteristics of the thymus and its vessels in human and white rat.'
Author of more than 60 scientific educational works. Participates in the organization of international scientific conferences. Actively participates in the educational materials preparation, including manuals and textbooks for english-speaking students. Worked on the development of the educational standard for the Master's program in human anatomy.
Secretary of the Belarusian Scientific Society of Morphologists. Member of IFAA (International Federation of Associations of Anatomists).
Student research supervisor, first year group of the pediatric faculty curator. Updates the information on the department page of university website. Responsible for teachers and students rating system assessment.
Research interests: human and white rat thymus morphology, aortic and pulmonary trunk valves morphology.
Deputy Head for Research and Scientific Methodological Work
Yuliya A. Huseva
Graduated from the Minsk State Medical Institute in 1999. In 1999-2000 completed an internship at the 3rd Clinical Hospital in Minsk and received the diploma of an ophthalmologist. Assistant of the Human Anatomy Department since 2000, appointed Associate Professor in 2008. Defended the thesis «Development and structure of the optic nerve and canal in the human ontogenesis» and received the title of PhD in 2005. Author of more than 80 scientific publications.
Responsible for coordinating scientific research within the Human Anatomy Department since 2014. Delivers lectures and conducts practical classes for Russian and English-speaking groups of students. Student research supervisor and curator for first year group of students of the pediatric faculty. Author of educational materials and publications in English.
Member of EVER (European Society for Eye Research), ESCRS (European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons), DOG (German Ophthalmological Society). Member of IFAA (International Federation of Associations of Anatomists) and a representative of Belarusian Scientific Society of Morphologists in IFAA.
Worked as the scientific secretary of the Council for PhD thesis defense. Currently a member of the board of the Preventive Medicine Faculty.
Regularly takes an active part in international conferences. Has previously been awarded with research grants from SOE (European Ophthalmological Society) and ICO (International Consulate of Ophthalmologists) and had research and practical training at the University of Bern (Switzerland), University of Bologna (Italy), University of Leicester (UK). Annually invited participant of the German Ophthalmological Congresses (DOC) since 2016.
Research interests: functional anatomy of the eye and related structures.

Olga L. Zharikova
Graduated from Minsk State Medical Institute (at present – BSMU) in 1980. From 1980 until 1983 was a postgraduate student at the Department of Normal Anatomy. In 1984 defended her Ph.D. thesis on the topic “General laws of development and structure of tonsils of the lympho-epithelial pharyngeal ring in humans and animals”. From 1983 until 2003 worked at the same department as an assistant professor (1983 -1993) and senior teacher (1993 – 2003). From 2003 to 2009 worked as postdoctoral fellow at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of UTMB (University of Texas Medical Branch, USA) participating in research projects on development of medications for pregnant women. In 2013 and 2014 at the same university attended the prep course on Anatomy taught in the summer enrichment program. Since 2010 has been working as an associate professor at the Department of Normal Anatomy of the Belarusian State Medical University.
Author of more than 120 scientific and scholarly publications.
Gives a course of lectures and practical classes to students of english-speaking groups; conducts educational and methodological work at the Medical Faculty for International Students.
Student research supervisor, first year group of the pediatric faculty curator, a member of Council of the Medical Faculty for International Students.
Research interests: principles of structure of organs in human and animal, placental metabolism and drug pharmacokinetics during pregnancy; innovative educational technologies in teaching anatomy.

Lidzia D. Chayka
Graduated from Minsk State Medical Institute (at present – BSMU) in 1973. From 1973 until 1976 was a postgraduate student at the Department of Normal Anatomy. In 1978 defended her Ph.D. thesis on the topic “Age-related features of the effect of hormones on lipolysis in adipose tissue in normal and fasting conditions”. From 1980 until 1989 worked at the same department as an assistant professor. Since 1989 has been working as an associate professor at the Department of Normal Anatomy of the Belarusian State Medical University.
Author of more than 130 scientific and scholarly publications.
Gives a course of practical classes to students of english-speaking groups. Student research supervisor, first year group of the pediatric faculty curator, a member of the methodological commission of medical and biological disciplines.
Research interests: issues of teaching at a higher medical school; innovative educational technologies in teaching anatomy.

Graduated from BSMU in 2005. Worked as an assistant professor since 2006.
In 2008-2009 completed an internship at Tianjin Medical University (specialization - reflexology).
Author of more than 30 scientific publications.

Works on the pHD thesis “Features of the structural of the esophageal-gastric junction in human ontogenesis”.
Research interests: morphogenesis and anatomy of the structures of the human esophageal-gastric junction.
