Research work of Ear, Nose and Throat Diseases

The main directions of research work of the Department of Ear, Nose and Throat Diseases are currently innovative methods of diagnosis, treatment and prevention of diseases of the ear, throat, nose.

In 2017, a five-year topic of research work of the department 'New technologies in the diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of patients with otorhinolaryngological pathology' was approved.

The staff of the department regularly participate in city, regional, republic scientific and practical conferences, constantly take part in scientific forums and congresses of otorhinolaryngologists of the Republic of Belarus, travel to symposia abroad.

Every year, the staff of the Department of Ear, Throat, Nose Diseases of the Belarusian State Medical University organize and hold a city scientific and practical conference of otorhinolaryngologists of medical institutions in the city of Minsk, where the results of the work of the otorhinolaryngological service for the year are summed up, and the most pressing issues in otorhinolaryngology are considered.

So, on 23.02.2017, on the basis of the 13th children's city polyclinic, a scientific and practical conference “Acute and chronic pathology of the lymphoepithelial pharyngeal ring. Results of the work of the otorhinolaryngological service in Minsk in 2016 and development prospects in 2017 ”. The results of the work of the otorhinolaryngological service of medical institutions in the city of Minsk in 2016 were discussed.

The staff of the department annually publishes more than 25 articles of their own research in peer-reviewed national and foreign journals.

For the entire period of work, the staff of the department defended about 45 dissertations, of which 10 are doctoral.

The results of scientific research of the staff of the department are introduced and used in practical medicine.
