Belarusian and Kirov State Medical Universities strengthen ties.

From April 15 to 19, within the framework of academic mobility, Belarusian State Medical University was visited by the Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, Head of the Department of Dentistry of Kirov State Medical University of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate professor Svetlana Gromova.

She met with the Rector of the leading medical institution of higher education in Belarus, Corresponding member of the National Academy of sciences, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Sergey Rubnikovich, as well as the Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate professor Pavel Markautsan, with whom she discussed directions for further cooperation between universities and faculties.

Svetlana Gromova also visited the Department of Pediatric Dentistry, where she told staff and students about her university, the work of the scientific laboratory "Cariology", research in the field of prevention of dental diseases, and also conducted classes with 2-nd year students of the Medical Faculty for International students on prevention of dental diseases.

The guest also visited the Republican Center for Professional Certification and Simulation Training of Medical and Pharmaceutical Workers, where interns practiced practical skills. She also gave a lecture to 2nd year students of the Faculty of Dentistry on the topic "Individual oral hygiene products", during which the composition of modern toothpastes, their importance for oral health were highlighted, and the results of study of hygiene products were presented in the laboratory of Kirov Medical University. The students listened with great interest to the speech of the Russian specialist.

At the end of her stay in Minsk, Svetlana Gromova took part in the work of the jury of the international Olympiad of student skills in Pediatric Dentistry, noting the students who, in her opinion, especially distinguished themselves with memorable souvenirs.

Undoubtedly, the exchange of experience with Russian colleagues contributes not only to the improvement of professional knowledge, but also to the strengthening of ties between our universities and countries.
