Procedure to Obtain the Invitation for study at BSMU

The Invitation for training at the University is issued upon the application of a foreign citizen or a person representing the interests of a foreign citizen, stateless persons temporarily residing on the territory of the Republic of Belarus, where he requests the invitation for training, stating the specialty for which he wishes to study and giving his motivation.

The following documents have to be attached to the application, addressed to the Rector of the University:

  • A copy of the Education Certificate with the list of studied subjects and grades together with its translation into Russian;
  • A copy of the invitee’s passport and its translation into Russian;
  • A copy of the passport of the person representing a foreign citizen, and its translation into Russian.

If the application is submitted by a person, representing the interests of a foreign national, he should attach a photocopy of his own identification document allowing to certify his personality.

The Procedure for Considering Applications

  • The Application and the documents are registered at the Clerk’s Office of the University.
  • Dean of the Medical Faculty for International students, Dean of the Career Guidance and Pre-University Training Faculty and Vice-Rector for International Relations within their job competence conduct an examination of the submitted documents and recommend (or do not recommend) to issue an invitation to a foreign citizen allowing him to study at the University on a paid basis by endorsing the statement of the applicant’s invitation.
  • Further the Application and documents are examined by Comission.
  • In case of a positive decision Further the Application and documents are sent via the Clerk’s Office to the Rector of the University.

After that the submitted documents and the invitation are sent to The Citizenship and Migration Police Department of the Minsk City Executive Committee for approval. The term of checking the documents is up to 5 working days starting from the date of their submission.

The documents required for approving the invitations are submitted by the Dean of the Medical Faculty for International Students to the Department of Citizenship and Migration of the Minsk City Executive Committee in accordance with the order established by the legislation of the Republic of Belarus.

The term of consideration of the submitted documents concerning the approval of the invitation is up to 5 working days after their submission.

The original invitation signed by the Rector of the University and endorsed by the Head of the Department of Citizenship and Migration of the Minsk City Executive Committee is registered in the Register of Invitations at the Dean's office of the Medical Faculty for International Students.

Then the original invitation is sent to a foreign citizen to obtain an entry visa of the Republic of Belarus. A copy of the invitation and initiative documents are kept at the Dean’s Office of the Medical Faculty of Foreign Students.
