The department teaches the discipline “Pediatric Surgery” for students of the 4th and 5th year and subordinates (pediatricians, pediatric surgeons, anesthesiologists, resuscitators) of the pediatric faculty, the 5th and 6th year of the medical, military medical faculties, the Faculty of foreign students of the Belarusian State Medical University.
The educational and methodological process is a priority, the staff of the department take an active part in training interns, clinical residents in the basics of diagnosis, treatment and prevention of children's surgical diseases, children's injuries.
Currently, the department has 2 professors, 5 associate professors, 1 assistant and 2 laboratory assistants. Two employees of the department have the degree of Doctor of medical Sciences, six employees-the degree of Candidate of medical Sciences. Nine employees of the department – doctors of the highest qualification category, two - the first.
