The department ensures the implementation of the curriculum for the 2nd year of the pediatric faculty in the discipline “Fundamentals of patient care”, the 3rd year of the pediatric faculty in the discipline “Propaedeutics of childhood diseases”; in the discipline “Pediatrics” in the 3rd year of dental, 5th year of the medical and preventive faculties; at 4-5 courses of the military medical faculty.
The purpose of teaching and studying the discipline “Propaedeutics of Childhood Diseases” is to form and acquire from students modern scientific views and knowledge about the anatomical and physiological characteristics of the child's body, the semiotics of organ and system damage, rational feeding of young children, methods of studying a healthy and sick child necessary for professional training and subsequent practical activities of a doctor.
The purpose of teaching and studying the discipline “Pediatrics” is to form students and acquire scientific views and knowledge about modern concepts of pathogenesis, clinical picture, diagnosis and treatment of childhood diseases, taking into account the anatomical and physiological characteristics of the organs and systems of the child.
The purpose of teaching and learning “Fundamentals of Patient Care” is to provide students with preliminary training for the subsequent development of professional knowledge and skills in clinical departments.
