The main scientific directions of the department:

Scientific projects:

  • «The study of clinical, functional and morphological features and the development of methods for the treatment of symptomatic epilepsy in saccular aneurysms of the cerebral arteries» (Author: Professor. N.A.Trushel. Topic leaders: Professor. N. I. Nechipurenko and Associate Professor R. R. Sidorovich).
«Belarusian Scientific School of Anatomists and Embryomorphologists»

Current leaders: Professor N.A. Trushel, Professor V.V. Rudenok

The beginning of the scientific activity of the Department of Normal Anatomy is associated with the name of S.I. Lebedkin. He investigated and advanced the problems of ontogenesis and phylogenesis, the correlation between the structure and function of organs, embryogenesis of parts of the body, organs, vascular and nervous systems, comparative anatomy and embryology.

Under the scientific supervision of S.I. Lebedkin, six candidate and doctoral dissertations were prepared and defended (P.J. Gerke, D.M. Golub, E.M. Zubkovich, N.V. Popova-Latkina, B.G. Turkevich, N.G. Turkevich).

From 1934 until 1975 the strategic direction of scientific research was determined by Professor D.M. Golub: studying the patterns of morphogenesis of the peripheral nervous system in the ontogenesis of humans and mammals of animals, studying the patterns of formation of innervational connections of internal organs and vessels with the central nervous system and using the results of these studies to solve problems of practical orientation: creation of experimental models of reinnervation or additional sources of innervation of internal organs by means of trunco-, gangli- and organopexies.

During his work at the department, under his leadership, 10 doctoral and 53 master's theses were completed and defended.

Continuing the ideas of D.M. Golub, P.I. Lobko with the staff of the department developed a new scientific direction - the study of the peripheral part of the autonomic nervous system in normal embryogenesis and under the influence of adverse factors of both a physical and chemical nature. In addition, comparative morphological studies were carried out to study the laws of the development and structure of the skeleton and its compounds, glands and spinal cord in human and animal ontogenesis.

Under the leadership of P.I. Lobko, 36 candidate and eight doctoral dissertations were defended.

From 1999 till 2005, under the leadership of S.D. Denisov, two candidate dissertations were defended.

The principles and efforts of the founder continue under the current direction of Professor N.A. Trushel.
