The chair is structural unit of the Department of Military Medicine of the Belarusian State Medical University, which carries out educational, methodological, research and educational work.
The activities of the department are regulated by the regulations of the Republic of Belarus in the field of education, health and defense and are aimed at training military medical specialists. During their studies students must master theoretical knowledge, skills and abilities, and form competencies in the field of military medicine.
The chair has the following tasks:
- planning, organization and conducting of educational and methodological work, ongoing and final monitoring of cadets and students’ training of the cadets, students and students of postgraduate training courses according to the curricula;
- organization and conducting of training of BSMU students according to reserve officer training programs;
- retraining of personnel at the level of special and higher education for the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus, other troops and formations in the profile of the department;
- scientific development of the theory and practice of military medicine, conducting research;
- retraining of the teaching staff of higher educational medical institutions of the Republic of Belarus in military medicine;
- conducting educational and military-patriotic work among the students at the chair.
