Military Epidemiology and Military Hygiene

The chair trains students of General Medicine, Pediatrics, Preventive Medicine departments in military hygiene and military epidemiology. Students of all departments, Military Medical care cadets and students are also trained in emergency medicine.

Graduates of the Department of Military Medicine are assigned to serve in the Armed Forces as chief medical officers of military units and aid stations of military units and as doctors of the military units.

  • «Toxicology and medical protection».

Research work directions of the chair:

  • conducting research of actual nutrition and its impact on the health of military personnel;
  • improvement of anti-epidemic protection measures of troops in peacetime and wartime;
  • study and consolidation of the troops anti-epidemic protection experience in local conflicts;
  • study of epidemiology and improvement of the system of epidemiological supervision, implementation of sanitary and anti-epidemic measures concerning relevant infectious diseases;
  • participation in consulting activities on behalf of the Ministry of Defense.
