Latin Language

Latin is the international language of medicine, professional language of doctors and pharmacists. Medical Latin is a specific language that has been formed over the centuries on the basis of ancient Greek and Latin words. This language is used for naming terms in modern international nomenclatures: anatomical, histological, embryological, biological, microbiological, pharmaceutical.

The teaching process on the subject is based on standard curricula, which were developed by the Department of the Latin language. This year new curricula for each faculty have been developed, they got favourable reviews and were handed in to the Methodological Commission of BSMU.
