The first Students' Science Clubs appeared in the 1925-1926 academic year. The work was headed by the heads of the department.
Educational and research work at the Department is one of the elements of practical training in the process of studying General Hygiene.
Various forms of educational research work of students are used:
During practical and laboratory classes: study and comparative assessment of the influence of environmental factors on the body; application of new devices, research methods; examination of objects using instrumental methods; analysis of research results, drawing conclusions.
Independently, outside the framework of the curriculum, as a rule, on an individual task: the study of the influence of environmental factors on the human body; statistical analysis and generalization of the results of previously performed research, reporting materials; bibliographic search and study of literature on a specific topic, its generalization with the writing of abstracts, poster presentations, presentations.
The principles of the work of the Students' Science Club at the department: individual work of teachers with each of the members of the Students' Science Club on the organization and carrying of research, collection of scientific information on the chosen topic, writing oral and poster reports for the student conference of BSMU and conferences of other universities, registration of scientific papers for participation in the Republican competition and publication in scientific publications.
