Instruction and Methodology – Department of Childhood and Adolescent Hygiene

Educational work is carried out by conducting various types and forms of training sessions in accordance with the schedule.

The training sessions take the form of lectures, seminars, workshops and laboratory exercises.

Different teaching methods are used:

  • Lecture
  • Presentation of the report
  • Illustrations, demonstrations, both conventional and computer-based
  • Doing practical work
  • Independent work with directories and literature (printed and electronic)
  • Independent written exercises
  • Independent computer work,
  • Student computer testing.

Modern information technologies are used in the teaching process:

  • Сomputer test control
  • Еducational computer programs, computer presentations of lectures,
  • Оn-line conferences.

Students of The Faculty of Preventive Medicine in the classroom examine such objects as preschool institutions, schools, vocational education institutions, institutions of additional education.

Knowledge control is carried out in the form of verbal and written surveys, solving situational tasks, current and intermediate computer testing, course exam for the 5th year Students of The Faculty of Preventive Medicine and the state exam with final computer testing for the 6th Students of The Faculty of Preventive Medicine.

Methodical work includes:

  • development and publication of educational and educational-methodical literature on the sections of the curriculum of the disciplines taught by the department;
  • development, updating and approval in the prescribed manner of standard and working programs on hygiene of children
  • and adolescents and valeology for all students at the department;
  • development of models of didactic materials on the subject of educational programs
  • preparation of teaching materials on electronic media;
  • organization, methodological support and control of students' industrial practice;
  • systematic advanced training and pedagogical skills of teachers of the department;
  • participation in the work of the scientific and methodological structures of the faculty and the university.
