Students of Belarusian State Medical University have three awards of the XII Republican Olympiad in Russian

On April 18-19, the XII Republican Olympiad in Russian for foreign students, undergraduates, postgraduates studying at universities of the Republic of Belarus was held at BSU. It was attended by representatives of 14 institutions of higher education, including students of the Medical Faculty for International Students of Belarusian State Medical University.

The Olympiad was held in sections. According to the level of Russian language proficiency, the participants were divided into one of ten sections. As Olympiad tests, they were offered the following tasks: listening, lexico-grammatical test, spontaneous monological utterance. During the course of completing the tasks, foreign students demonstrated knowledge in various fields of Russian studies (phonetics, vocabulary, phraseology, grammar), as well as knowledge of the norms of the Russian language and the ability to solve communicative tasks. The jury determined the winners based on the totality of points obtained from the results of three tests.

Among the participants from Belarusian State Medical University, 1st year students of the Faculty of the Medical Faculty for International Students Daniela Kudryavtseva and Aylar Khodjamgulyeva were awarded a diploma of the first degree. The diploma for the original disclosure of the topic of spontaneous utterance was awarded to the 2nd year student Al-Anesi Mustafa Abduvahid Ali.

Events of this kind certainly contribute to improving the effectiveness of teaching the Russian language, bring competitiveness and a festive atmosphere to this process. The foreign students who participated in the Olympiad expressed confidence that a deeper study of the Russian language would contribute to their effective communication in a Russian-speaking environment and high-quality professional training.
