Leaders of Belarusian State Medical University discussed promising areas of interaction with a representative of the Northern State Medical University

As part of the visit of the Governor of the Arkhangelsk Region Alexander Tsybulsky to the Republic of Belarus, BSMU was visited by Vice-Rector for Scientific and Innovation Work of the Northern State Medical University, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Tatyana Unguryanu.

The guest was received by Rector, corresponding member of the National Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Sergei Rubnikovich and Vice-Rector for International Relations, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Vasily Rudenok. During the negotiations, the parties discussed the areas of interaction and development of partnerships between Belarusian State Medical University and the Northern State Medical University, which involves holding joint scientific and practical conferences on topical issues of medicine, including in an online format, lecture seminars, carrying out scientific projects, using the opportunities of academic mobility and network learning. Particular attention was paid to science and cooperation between young scientists from Belarus and Russia.

In addition, Tatiana Ungureanu met with the Vice-Rector for Educational Work Denis Chernov, during the conversation with whom aspects of ideological and educational work and further contacts in this direction were discussed.

Tatyana Ungureanu discussed issues of scientific cooperation between the two universities this year with head of the Research Institute, Candidate of Medical Sciences Irina Shcherbinskaya and the Vice-Rector for Scientific Work, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Vasily Filoniuk.

A conversation was also organized for the Vice-Rector for Scientific and Innovation Work of SSMU with Head of the Department of Educational Activities, Irina Kotovich, during which attention was paid to the possibilities of academic cooperation, the organization of joint advanced training courses, as well as training programs and academic mobility.

Professor Tatiana Ungureanu also talked with Head of the Department of Occupational Hygiene, Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor Igor Semenov and Dean of Medical and Preventive Faculty, Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor Andrei Gindyuk. As a result, plans for interaction between partner universities in the field of hygiene have been outlined.

In addition, Tatyana Ungureanu had an excursion with a visit to the anatomical museum, a history museum of BSMU and the Simulation and Certification Center of Higher Education.

At the end of the Russian guest’s stay at the leading medical university of Belarus, the meeting participants exchanged information, contacts and agreed to intensify partnerships.
