Delegations of the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Zhejiang University of Traditional Chinese Medicine at Belarusian State Medical University

The delegations of the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, headed by academician Huang Luqi, and Zhejiang University of Traditional Chinese Medicine under Vice-Rector Wen Chengping were in Belarus during the visit of the Premier of the State Council of the People's Republic of China. On August 23, the guests visited the Department of Reflexology of Belarusian State Medical University in the Minsk Regional Clinical Hospital, as well as the Center of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Professor Alexander Sivakov, Head of the Department of Reflexology of Belarusian State Medical University, Doctor of Medical Sciences familiarized foreign colleagues with the peculiarities of the educational process in reflexotherapy and traditional Chinese medicine, and Alexander Litskevich, Chief Physician of the Minsk Regional Clinical Hospital, told about the activities of the Center for Traditional Chinese Medicine.

The topics of advanced training courses in traditional Chinese medicine together with experts from China (both offline and online) were discussed in detail with the Vice-Rector of Zhejiang University, Wen Chengping. The parties agreed to continue close cooperation (conducting scientific research, implementing the educational process) in order to more widely introduce the methods of traditional Chinese medicine into the practical healthcare of Belarus.

Huang Luqi noted the high level of organization of the educational process and medical care at the Center of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Alexander Sivakov, Head of the Department of Reflexology, thanked the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, represented by Academician Luqi, for giving Belarusian doctors the opportunity to undergo an internship in traditional Chinese medicine in leading clinics of the People's Republic of China.

The delegation of Zhejiang University, in addition, visited the Department of Reflexology of BSMU in the healthcare institution "10th City Clinical Hospital" in Minsk, as well as the Center of Traditional Chinese Medicine, located in this clinic. The delegation members addressed the participants of the reflexology retraining course, informing Belarusian specialists about the training of doctors in traditional Chinese medicine at Zhejiang University.
