The University is constantly developing international links with medical schools of different countries. The main foreign partners are: University of Western Ontario (Canada), Medical Schools of Nagasaki and Akita (Japan), Society “Japan — Republic of Belarus”, International Forum Hygiene e.V. (Germany), Hanoi Medical University (Vietnam), Medical University of Bialystok (Poland), Medical University of Lublin (Poland), Sofiya Medical University (Bulgaria), Yerevan State Medical University of Herazi (Armenia), universities of Karmel and Druz (Israel), National Medical University of Bohomolez (Ukraine), State Medical Academy of Karaganda (Kazakhstan), State Medical and Pharmaceutical University “Nicolae Testemitanu” (Moldova), Smolensk State Medical Academy (Russia), Institute of tuberculosis and lung diseases (Poland), Teheran University of Medical Sciences and Health Services (Iran), Pasteur Institute of Iran, Islamic Azad University (Iran) and others. The honorable doctors of our University (Doctoris honoris causa) are 33 well-known scientists from USA, Japan, Austria, Canada, Belarus, Russia, Germany, Switzerland, Poland, Iran. This once more underlines concernment and international recognition of the University. Belarusian State Medical University is a member of International Graduates’ Association of HEE. From 1990 BSMU is a Fellow of the International Association of Higher Medical Education, European Association of Higher Medical Schools (AMSE). It works in collaboration with the WHO, WSPA, participates in numerous research programs and projects (TEMPUS, TASIS). |
